Recipient of LEA’s “2017 Friend of Education Award”

We were honored to receive the Lincoln Education Association’s “2017 Friend of Education Award” at LEA’s Appreciation Night on May 18. Annually, LEA selects an individual or group that has gone above and beyond to support them in their education initiatives.

Rita Bennett, President of the LEA, said, “For many years, First Nebraska CU has been a valued partner. Not only do they offer value to the members of the Association through their credit union products and services, but they have also devoted volunteer time as well as substantial funding to support the programs that LEA offers to both its members and to the community at large. Every invitation we have given to First Nebraska CU, whether for attending an Association event or becoming a financial sponsor of another event, has always been met with enthusiastic support. While many businesses in our community may be noted for their support of one cause of another, your passion for serving children, families and educators, and your belief in our mission, sets you apart.”

Thanks to LEA for this great honor! We have been supporting educators since 1934 and look forward to many more years to come.
